Welcome to the Shelbyville Horse Show, a cherished tradition that began in 1989 as a grassroots effort to bring together our city staple, the American Saddlebred Horse and local residents in Shelby County. Over the years, this event has grown into a celebration of our community's rich equestrian heritage, centered around the American Saddlebred and Hackney Pony.

This year marks an exciting new chapter for the Shelbyville Horse Show. Building on our history of community collaboration, we are thrilled to announce a transformative partnership with the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce. Together, we aim to enhance the impact of the show by engaging local non-profit organizations in a unique role.

For the first time, local non-profits will actively participate in running the event. By assisting with promotion and event operations, these organizations will directly benefit from their involvement and the event’s success. All profits from this event will be distributed amongst the participating non-profits in honor of our goal for this event to be one that truly belongs to the Shelby County community.
